WHERE? MaJel Rovás Center, Erzsébet út 42, Kassa
Revolutionary commemorative evening at the Rovás Center! October 23rd is one of the most significant commemorative days in Hungarian history, when we remember our heroes who raised their voices and weapons for freedom and independence in 1956. Why did an entire nation take on the fight against overwhelming power? What could the idea of freedom mean to students, workers and ordinary people at that time? And how can we honor them today, from the perspective of so many years?
In the presentation of historian Csaba Hidán, we can not only hear about the events of the revolution, but also have a special experience: a presentation of period equipment and weapons is also included in the program, which brings the era of the revolution into tangible proximity. Memorial Day is an excellent opportunity to remember the brave stand together and to confirm: the legacy of 1956 is not only history, but also a living message about the importance of freedom and heroism.
We welcome all interested parties!
