When? September 26, 2025 (Friday), 5:30 pm
Where? János Selye University, Conference Center, Castle. u. 2, Komárom
How does the child develop if he has to play an adult role too early? What are the consequences of having to maintain a family's emotional balance? And what patterns can we carry on from this adult relationship?
In psychology, this phenomenon is called parentification. This means that the child takes over the role of the missing adult and must perform tasks that are not due to his age. From the outside, these children often seem diligent, disciplined and independent - but they often carry serious tension within their emotional needs and find it harder to find their own inner world. Stakeholders often react sensitively to the needs of others, and tend to self -sacrifice while their own boundaries become less visible.
We talk about these patterns, consequences and possible outsiders at the Szelye János University Conference Center.
