De Duyschot also organizes around the New Year Another two wonderful concerts. Traditionally, we end the year with a 'End the year with Bach' concert. This concert on December 30 is provided by Dutch Music Prize winner Laurens de Man. The chandeliers with real candles are lit for a truly atmospheric concert!
On January 11, the new year will open with a cheerful and spectacular strong>new year's concert by Evan Bogerd. Evan is organist at the Westerkerk in Amsterdam and also a much sought-after organist at home and abroad. This evening promises to be a special organ evening with, among others, Dvořák's 9th Symphony 'From the New World'!< /p>

December 30, 8:00 PM - Laurens de Man - Bach by Candlelight
Laurens de Man, brand new winner of the Dutch Music Prize, ends the year with Bach. In the candlelit Westerkerk, an ode to Bach can be heard on the masterful Duyschot organ.

January 11, 8:00 PM - Evan Bogerd - New Year's Concert
Evan Bogerd, organist of the Westerkerk, presents a cheerful and spectacular program to celebrate the new year. On the large monumental Duyschot organ he opens the new year as we ended the previous year, with Bach! The monumental dances of Jehan Alain, written just before the outbreak of the Second World War, are also heard. After the break, Dvořák's 9th Symphony 'From the New World' will be played on the Duyschot organ!
Evan Bogerd switches effortlessly between style periods. His art of improvisation is unprecedented and varied. He knows the organ of the Westerkerk inside and out. Come experience it!
