Matthew Leipzig,
Johannnes-Passion,
a groundbreaking work for the Good Friday. Based
On the gospel of Johannes, this oratory is much more
than just a musical story of the suffering story.
This overwhelming drama brings intense emotions to life
- unspeakable love, loss, betrayal - and makes every
role back -felted by the multi -colorful flary Original
Bible text.
Now, 301 years later, the New Bach Ensemble is performing this
masterpiece again. For almost 40 years, our
ensemble has been carrying out this work, not from tradition, but because it still fascinates us
. The richly varied
expression along the lines of the suffering of a person
all uses us. The Johannes-Passion is a
highlight in what music can add, clarify
and stir up in everything we are.
We look forward to you again, our audience. Whether it is the
first time you hear this work or the umpteenth time, there is always something new to hear and feel. Right now, in a
world full of unrest, the Johannes-Passion that we bring
will again be deeply affected, and offer a beacon of
hope.
