Bachtale Apsa: lahůdky nejen z romské hudby

The Bachtale Apsa band, translated as Happy Tears, is one of the top Roma bands today.

Since 2010, it has played hundreds of concerts at home and abroad. And not only in European countries, but also, for example, in Algeria or India. What is typical for this group? The power and variety of musical emotions that Romani music evokes in listeners from time immemorial and in which the joys and sorrows of everyday life are reflected. The band makes extensive use of the music of the Balkan, Hungarian, Spanish and Slovak Roma. There are, of course, classic čardás. The repertoire does not only consist of traditional Roma music, but also the works of Mário Bihári and Petr Horvát. In the music of Bachtale Apsa, Romany melodies are intermingled with rumba, flamenco, swing, funk and other styles.
