About baionshômyo
Baionshômyo (Japanese 倍音聲明; English overtone chanting) is an exercise originating from the monks of the Nyingmapa School, the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism (Vajrayana). During the practice, you turn the mind inward and can achieve a strong spiritual purification (misogi). After the exercise, you feel refreshed, balanced and have a clearer mind.
Information for participants
- bring a small pillow, sofa or towel on which you can comfortably sit
br/>- wear comfortable clothes
- we practice barefoot or in socks
- the bayonshomyo meditation itself will start with a short warm-up and will be followed by meditation for about 40 minutes
- no previous experience is needed
- the event is free
During your own exercise
- sit straight and relaxed
- breathe freely
- make the sound naturally
- at the end stay silent
About us
We are an open group of people interested in meditation and breathing exercises. We had the opportunity to practice Baionshômyo under the guidance of Tada sensei during internships in Italy. Our group has no religious overtones or commercial character.
