About event
The breathtaking stage cantata of the German composer Carl Orff is one of the most famous musical works. In it, the composer followed up on Richard Wagner's ideas about the "absolute work of art" in an attempt to create the concept of "theatrum mundi" (theater of the world), which connects music, movement and speech.
The stage design is dominated by the circle, which is the initiation moment for the dancers, the beginning and the end, simplicity and perfection.
Carmina Burana's choreographic and directorial concept offers a visually pure and energetically hypnotizing experience the connection of music and dance.
Let yourself be carried away by the flow of dance images that unfold evolution on the stage of life.
Music: Carl Orff
Choreography: Edward Clung
Choreography assistant: Tijuana Križman Hudernik
Scenic design: Marko Japelj
Costume design: Leo Kulaš
Lighting design: Tomaž Premzl
Performance: SND Ballet soloists and choir
