The Mezrab host the nicest Balfolk Social in Amsterdam every third Sunday of the month.
Order a ticket and come dance on the live music of Duo Clercx and Nut and pleasure.

For a meal you can go to the bar of the Mezrab. They have a wonderfully filling Iranian lentil soup.
You can also order drinks at the bar. Water is available for free. As a service to the dancers, the staff can prepare water.

- Duo Clercx
Duo Clercx was founded in the summer of 2022 by the brothers Clercx, with the aim of playing on folkbals. With an arsenal of instruments, Hendrik Clercx (diatonic accordion and violin) and Gert-Jan Clercx (Violin and Tin Whistles) bring a enchanting and self-written repertoire to dance.
In addition to musicians, they are also dancers themselves, so they know what dancers need perfectly. They bring folk with sensual mazurkas, spicy magic circles and sturdy set bourrées that even bring the ghosts to life ...
With their enthusiasm and rich background in various folk styles, they immediately encourage dancing and let them take you in a mystical and magical dance atmosphere atmosphere! is a sparkling ballfolk trio that follows his own musical path. Brand new infectious ballfolk music, carefully sown, patiently grown. Eveline Juten (Tryharmonica), Klaas van der Vliet (guitar) and Maria Möckel (violin).
Location
Mezrab has a warm heart for Balfolk and invites us to dance out every month. In the Mezrab on other days you can go mainly for storytelling. The café serves as a source of inspiration for many theaters, centers, museums and festivals to also program storytelling. Mezrab regularly programs narrative evenings several times a week. On the other evenings, storytelling is combined with other art disciplines (dance, visual arts, poetry, etc.) and a world music program.
There is room for about 100 dancers.
