For a meal you can go to the bar of the Mezrab. They have a wonderfully filling Iranian lentil soup.
You can also order drinks at the bar. Water is available for free. As a service to the dancers, the staff can prepare water.

- fior
fior (in Oudhoogduits, "four") is a quartet from southern Germany that focuses on modern folk music. Fior makes music for the dance floor and concert halls, they make people dance and dream.
Until now the four musicians of Fior worked intensively and they played folk music from other countries (especially Sweden, France and Ireland), but now they developed an urgent desire to find out more about the melodies and songs. They have come across a true wealth of music that is no longer allowed to sleep quietly! Medieval ballads and folk songs meet adaptations of writers such as Fontane and Eichendorff, Groovy Jigs alternate with soft rolls and traditional melodies from rediscovered German music manuscripts are interwoven with the band's own compositions. press reviews. pfm! is an energetic ballfolk band from the west of the country. The band was created in 2020 and consists of French on clarinet, Maurits on Violin and Pieter on guitar (and a little draw bag). There are mainly their own compositions.
The trio plays, among other things, straightforward Cercle’s, swinging scottishes and angular Handterdro's, but also soft creamy mazurkas and a tranquil gavotte de "l Aven. There is a concentration on the most common ballfolk dancing so that all the ballfolkies can stay on the dance floor.
all three band members are enthusiastic dancers, but also like to stand on stage, that's why they say: book us!
Location
Balfolk is coming to come to come to us every month. In the Mezrab on other days you can go mainly for storytelling. The café serves as a source of inspiration for many theaters, centers, museums and festivals to also program storytelling. Mezrab regularly programs narrative evenings several times a week. On the other evenings, storytelling is combined with other art disciplines (dance, visual arts, poetry, etc.) and a world music program.
There is room for about 100 dancers.
