Event by: Theater Ost

About event
BalkaNova interprets folk songs in a special way: arrangements developed closely to the text reflect the meaning of the words in every moment through subtle, jazzy harmonies, fast rhythms and the metric typical of the Balkans. The text, melody and accompaniment of the original songs of the Balkans are newly interwoven in a unique way.
Balkan folk and world jazz, pieces from their new CD "July Morning" and also a few beautiful Bulgarian Christmas songs await you!
Viktoria Lasaroff (BG) vocals, accordion, percussion
Andreas Brunn (D) 7-string Acoustic guitar
Robin Draganic (CAN) double bass
