The international ensemble BalkaNova with the fantastic Bulgarian singer Viktoria Lasaroff fuses Balkan folk and world jazz in an innovative style. BalkaNova interprets folk songs in a special way: arrangements developed closely to the text reflect the meaning of the words in every moment through subtle, jazzy harmonies, fast rhythms and the metric typical of the Balkans. The text, melody and accompaniment of the original Balkan songs are interwoven in a unique way.
