The hour of the possibilities comes to light again: "Band á part - danceable event for outsiders" returns and opens the 2025/26 season. The start will take place on September 23 in the familiar oasis, the place of security in Berlin Mitte: the Eschschloraque Rümschrümp in the Schwarzenberg house. Even in the 14th year of the series of events, the Residenzbühne remains a kaleidoscopic location: from contemporary choreography to interactions close to the public, a mysterious trace of movement and performance genres unfolds. The dance and performance format "Band á part-danceable event for outsiders" will go back to the next round! The series has been establishing independent projects in the open outpost model since 2011: Performers use the artistic scope of free development away from the mainstream logic. Without rigid genres at dictated definitions, Band á part offers a platform that combines contemporary dance and performance into a flexible orientation corridor. Artistic development, exploring the individual potential and experimental procedures are the focus. The season 2025/26 offers a dynamic stage for adventure, encounters and changes of perspective. It designs a podium where people communicate with each other, describe their living environments and create stories. A room where borders are discussed again. This season, experiments, dialogues with the audience and courageous artistic voices are combining a varied panorama of moving art. This special platform creates understanding beyond language and offers spaces of self -determination, expression and the community. A season full of curiosity, experience -hungry openness and extraordinary moments awaits us - welcome back at home!
Limited space, come early!

"How do experience of forced display transform the body and voice? How are concepts like 'Home,' 'Fragility,' and 'Belonging' Re-Signified? In what way can a dancing body express the fragmentation of identity? Identities in Constant Reconstrual? Reconstructing to identity in constant tension. Taking as a staring my personal experience and that of the performer: Two Venezuelan Women, Exiled, Dissidents; Performer becomes, in itself, a narrative of exile, acting as a field of enunciation against the aggressive logics of the venezuelan civic military regime, showing the physical and mental impacts that a body endure while trying to survive state. This work, I seek for the audience to witness a subtle and reparative protest, in which the body presets itself, from its fragility and vulnerability, as a territory of struggle and resistance against systems of power.
