Bar Education Symposium: Summer Edition

Full-day educational conference for people in bartending, mixology and hospitality

We're back. This year, once was not enough for us, so we are preparing another dose of bar inspiration for you. The Bar Education Symposium, the only educational conference for people in bartending, mixology and hospitality, returns with a special Summer Edition. One goal remains: to move the scene forward. And this year even more so.

The theme of the year does not change - "Beyond the Borders". A challenge to go beyond established approaches, step out of comfort and open up to new perspectives. In the team, in service, in business and in the approach to guests.

Víťa Cirok (Becher's Bar) and Jan Šebek (Minus One) are behind the event - a platform that connects bartenders, bar managers, entrepreneurs, brands and hotel school students. A format that has been missing in the Czech Republic for a long time.

Who will perform?

• Danil Nevsky - "The Independent Bartender", founder and face of Indie Bartender @cocktailman account. The holder of the Spirited Award by Tales of Cocktails for the best international bar mentor (2024) and one of the 100 most influential people in hospitality.
• Gregory Hunter – Bar Manager Maybe Sammy, Sydney, one of the best bars in the world (The World's 50 Best Bars 2025, no. 37), will bring the theme of hospitality into practice.
• Alex Krateňa – award-winning bartender and entrepreneur, co-founder of Muyu liqueurs, Tayēr RTD, London hotspot Tayēr + Elementary. Tayēr + Elementary was ranked the best bars in the world (World's 50 Best Bars, no. 5).
• Diego Ferrari - one of the 100 most influential people in the industry according to Drinks International (2019-2022), Brand Ambassador of the year at the Bargiornale Bar Awards 2020 and one of the Top 10 international ambassadors at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirit Awards of the same year.

In the evening, you can also look forward to guest shifts in selected Prague bars - the performers will stand behind the bar and you will experience their hospitality for yourself.
