About event
ANSWER_ring movement production by Barbora Janáková produced by mimoOs.
A visually moving journey into a space where an intimate statement meets a collective experience. Two female performers find themselves in an imaginary ring - not against each other, but against questions that overtake us all faster than we can say them.
Two distinctive female performers meet on stage - an exceptional dancer and an authentic performer. Their different expressive worlds complement each other, bump into each other and create a tension that is both sensitive and physically strong. It is their contrast that makes it possible to open different levels of questions posed by the work - from intimate to social.
It is a struggle with uncertainty, ecological crisis, pressure of commitment, exhaustion and the desire for meaning. Here, silence turns into a cry, doubt into movement, physical presence into a way to understand the world that is constantly changing.
The work arose from the need to talk about being in a time that seems to have no answers. We constantly question whether we are committed enough, whether we can do more, and whether it even matters if we are just one of many. The past may have taught us a lot, but its lessons are fading fast in today's speed. Doubt, silence and an urgent desire to change something remain.
