About event
Four-hour evening course in working with stained glass - we will work with the Tiffany technique (soldering with tin) or glass mosaics (gluing to the base - lanterns, electric lamps, etc.). As part of this course, we will NOT create Tiffany lamps using the Tiffany technique, that is a more time-consuming project :).
The course takes place between 5-9pm in the premises of the Matilda workshop, Brno, Palackého třída 95, opposite Semilass.
You will learn to cut, break and grind glass, and then, depending on the chosen technique, work with copper tape and solder at Tiffany's, or glue to the base and join with mosaics. During this 4-hour course, most people manage to create a stained glass window composed of approx. 6-8 pieces of glass, or a mosaic on 2 sides of a lantern - detailers may only have one, perfectly processed, I have also experienced courses where someone managed to make a whole lantern.. but that is more of an exception if you would like to continue, the same workshop is still on Tuesday 19.11. 1500 if you choose Tiffany.
Glass, beads, glass nuggets and everything else needed will be available, along with coffee/tea and small sweet mls (lunch is provided by yourself). ATTENTION background for the mosaic: agree with me in advance what attracts you, the lamp/lantern costs 250-320 CZK depending on the type, smaller items from 70 CZK.
In addition, colored agate cuts and other special items will be available for purchase. >
There will be a maximum of 6 participants in the workshop.
