Prague 4, in cooperation with KVH Gardekorps, invites you to a day -long program organized on the occasion of the 80's celebrations. The anniversary of the victory day.
In May this year, the Prague 4 city district will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Prague Uprising and the end of the 2nd World War 🕊️. The most important struggles of the defenders of Prague with the soldiers of the Wehrmacht and SS played in May 1945.
"We want to pay tribute not only fallen fighters from the Prague Uprising, but also murdered civilians, men, women and children, and remind us of their victim in the fight for freedom and must not be unnecessary." The highlight of the day will be a staged struggle for the barricade, which is a typical scene evoking the May uprising. It will offer the public an extraordinary opportunity to see directly in the streets of the city in action of original military equipment, but above all it will be a dignified memory of those who have built the Nazis in the fight for freedom. The spectacular spectacle will be enhanced by the period uniforms of nearly four hundred performers, members of the military -historical clubs, and the exhibition of historical military equipment.
The streets will be held after 25 years. The last such extensive demonstration was the Barikáda 2005 event in Branik and formerly Barikáda 2000 just in Nusle. Based on experience from 2000 and 2005, Prague 4 expects great public interest in all ages, for example, in 2005, more than 45,000 visitors from all over the Czech Republic and abroad visited the event. It starts at 8 am and ends at approximately 6 pm.
