About event
Book: Samil Yılmaz
Director: Süheyla Schwenk
A girl who is not noticed by anyone.
A woman who becomes visible through dance - and whose inner world goes up in flames as soon as all eyes are on her.
"Belly Dancer" is an impressive piece about the question of whether visibility means liberation - or a burden.
A Rebellion, a dance, a confrontation: about the female body, the stage, the audience and the fine boundaries of society.
A difficult story, told through the lightness of the body.
It begins with a look and hits you right inside.
Don't just look.
See.
Feel.
Be witnesses.
