We cordially invite you to the benefit concert, which will take place on November 5 from 18:30 at Atrium Žižkov. 👩🏽🍳
In the life of an average person, work has many meanings, while for a homeless woman it has mainly one. For her, returning to work means returning to life. 🫂
Social enterprise Homeless cooks of the non-profit organization Jako doma organizes a benefit evening with the screening of documentaries about women with experience of homelessness. Jinka, Iris, Nikola and Jana will be presented in four short video projections, telling their stories and opening topics such as finding work, building a safe background and coping with prejudices against homeless women. ❤️🩹
Vegan refreshments from Homeless Cooks will be served at the event and two concerts will be held in addition to the screening of the documentaries. Performers will be Please The Trees, a fixture of the Czech indie rock scene, known for their energetic concerts and environmental impact, and Andrea Blahová, an up-and-coming singer and guitarist who is releasing her first debut album. 🍜🎶

Proceeds will support the employment of disadvantaged women in the social enterprise Homeless Cooks and increase the general debate about the challenges of homeless women in the labor market and in society. The project was implemented with the financial support of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic.
