Nerost

Post-folk trio, which the Polish community wrote about facing the fear of the future with a tender ordinariness. That they play songs about love and the end of the world. About the breakdown of biological rhythms in urban nature. About the crumbling masonry of memories on the periphery. And that while listening to them you want to observe the sky or look out of the bus window. Double bass, accordion, acoustic guitar.

Husy Vrány

Folk duo Markéta Profeldová and Míša Kačura cover their favorite songs from the folk traditions of the British islands and Appalachian old time music in a minimalist version of one guitar and two vocals.

Anežka Matoušková

The singer known as one half of Avokadua, one ninth of the Northern Platform or from the bands Uthando and most recently Antares will perform with her solo repertoire.

For whom will we choose?

We are selecting equipment for the drone unit of the Ukrainian army, in which the Czech nicknamed Senyk also serves. Its members were civilians just a few years ago – today they stop Russian attacks every day and provide key logistics for frontline drone operations.

Who is Senyk?

"My nickname is Senyk, after the Ukrainian political prisoner of the 20th century - Iryna Senyk, who spent over 30 years in the gulag and exile because she simply did not want to give up the fight for freedom. One of the many Ukrainian stories that I find inspiring. I got involved because I feel a debt to Ukraine that, at a huge cost, stopped the onslaught of Russian aggression while we slowly The war cannot be defended except by defense. It does not seem fair to me that Ukraine should defend itself against a country that is 4 times more populous. And that the invasion should be defended by a country that (after an agreement with the USA, Britain and Russia) voluntarily gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for the inviolability of its borders. I have been working in the Ukrainian army since the beginning of this year. so that the infantry doesn't have to fight. And we make sure that the pilots have everything they need.
Working logistics and good equipment mean more safety for all of us and more success in the fight for freedom.
Your support is extremely important to me and my colleagues!"

What will the money buy?

With the money that we will send through a transparent account, Senyk will buy material for his unit. The amount of material is decided depending on how much money is collected.

Senyk says: Every time there is a collection, something is donated or we use something donated here, it is a pleasant feeling, we know that we are not alone in this. Most of the material (from tools to cars to household items and personal equipment) is provided by Ukrainian volunteers or soldiers from their own salaries.

There are soldiers in the unit who have been serving for two, three, four years, some since 2014. There are air raids in Sumy every day, often cynical attacks on gas stations or houses. Especially a gift from abroad can significantly lift people's spirits.

Some of you are asking if it is possible to donate to Senyk even if you cannot make it to the concert. YES!

You can donate to this account:
Account number: 2203321292 / 2010
Account holder: Czech Volunteer Hub
Variable symbol: VS 0512

(variable symbol is important so that the payment is assigned to the correct collection)
