About event
Popis v češtině below
Cover. Way. Fragments of movements. Jar of honey. A scene at school. Mirror. Verse. Remember. Endure Feeling. Restlessness in the body. Music. A question of luck?
In the third year of the war, how does the mixture of the (not) distant past and the present, driven by hope or necessity, resonate with those who settled in the environment of Brno? How does the community feel about facing the uncertainties or obligations of growing up and the waning interest of neighbors? Political and personal in the face.
"Shall we meet - or shall we separate?"
The president talks about the victory plan: but what are the visions and daily realities of people in a foreign land? "What did we bring with us? What did we write? And how to combine nine experiences into one whole?" The image of the author's statement, a walk around the house, a collage of topics. The seeds of stories, monologues, documentaries, poems. Performative lecture and acting sketch. Searches for creative cleansing. To want to publicly express and reflect one's feelings is to materialize one's longing, fears and tension. Or even joy?
Benteha / Бентега is a Ukrainian expression for a feeling of uneasiness, tension, shaky nervousness, which is impossible to get rid of in physical or psychological manifestations.
Staging under the direction of curators performance - directed by Max Novotarskyi and playwright Matei Nitra - unites young people who have registered to participate in the first part of the joint project "Until válka ends / Until the End Wars". According to their own choice of topic, they wrote down and formulated their personal experience and existential situation of their current stay in the Czech Republic.
