A walking tour with Izzy Choksey
Germany has a long history of colonialist expansion, extractivism and brutality in Europe and Africa. Berlin has very much been at the heart of those histories. The tour covers what decisions and ideologies shaped German colonialism in the late 18th century and early 19th Century and how that history still shapes the city today.
Our tour will be meeting at museum island in front of the Altes Museum in the Lust Garten. We will meet at 11:00 and leave by 11:15.
We will not be using public transportation — the tour will be entirely outside.
