About event
Walter Benjamin coined the term “flaneur” as a central figure in the modern city. He has described how he wandered through Berlin in numerous publications. Looking at the places triggers associations that serve to represent life and work, to represent the past in the present. His methodology, also supplemented by writings by Franz Hessel, should be used to aimlessly find goals and be surprised by them, as Walter Benjamin says: "Any illustration that lacks the element of surprise has a stultifying effect." Text that needs to be deciphered.
