Bernhard Ludescher & Loktor
Event by: Bernhard Ludescher
Location: b flat Acoustic Music & Jazz Club, Dircksenstraße 40, Berlin - Mitte
About event
Liktor, a band that strikes the limits of jazz and offers a really unique concert experience by combining groove elements with various music styles. With a sound that is rich in harmonies and distinctive timbres, the ensemble creates a symbiosis of jazz and groove, which is both innovative and accessible. By detaching the jazz from his purism, the quartet not only inspires jazz lovers, but also newcomers.
Bernhard Ludescher - Piano
omri Abramov- sax
Francesco BACCARO - BASS
A sound of the jazz Refreshing nature in a wonderfully diverse and accessible way - just one thing is given to the new album by Bernhard Ludescher & Liktor on "Almost". He shows that he is still not willing to move away from this approach on his new album "Almost".
The Austrian, who lives in Berlin, and his band Liktor presents a jazz album that somehow does not really come as such. Of course, the four -way music does not lack the elements that make up modern jazz. Bernhard Ludescher and his fellow musicians Omri Abramov (saxophone), Francesco Beccaro (bass) and Mathis Grossmann (drums) know how to convince their instruments and, they master the blind interplay and the experiment at any moment and do not shy away from it, for example, to other genres, such as the electronic synth music of the 1970s and 1980s or for radio and hip-hop. Regardless of whether it is more straightforward or more sophisticated rhythms, more tricky passages and improvisations determine what is happening, the fusion sound made from the band is permanently grooving, and this is permanently wonderfully diverse, exciting and, above all, very accessible species. Melodies and harmonies, through comprehensible forms that make it possible to immerse yourself deeply into the music and to be driven by it. Bernhard Ludescher shows with “Almost” that he knows an excellent impact on making the sound of modern jazz in vibration and letting him flow. Together with his band, he translates it into his very own musical language, into one that is more about feeling and mood than over a high degree of complexity. A really nice listening experience.
