I cordially invite you to a CONVERSATION on May 26, 2026 at the Ján Bocatia Public Library in Košice at 4:30 p.m. on Hlavná Street in Košice for the upcoming children's book.
Balón Kubo and his friends.
The story takes place in the fairy-tale town of Tvorilkovo, where dreams are transformed into reality thanks to the creativity and cooperation of its inhabitants – muses, tailors, inventors and other fairy-tale creatures. The main characters are the seamstress Berta Zlatoihličková, the inventor Benjamín Palec, the basket maker Jakub Prútik and the magical balloon Kubo, which is born from a special fabric full of wind and fantasy.
2.5 years passed from the idea to the writing of the story. The relationship of the author Karin Mikulášová Kravec with writing was turbulent, interrupted and funny. As she said: "On the way, I met many friends, creative people, inspirers, but also those who did not hesitate to express their doubts... Why am I doing this and is there a need for another children's book for an oversaturated market... ??? The scope, content and name of the main character have changed. "
Excerpts from the upcoming book will be read by friend and writer @Bianka Sielnik. As part of the slogan Creation is joy, we are waiting for a pop-up paper workshop with @Janka Kadaňková.

Karin Mikulášová Kravec - works as an author of texts with a focus on the creation of original content materials for educational, methodical and creative projects and at the same time as a lecturer of art and creative workshops for the public. So far, she has published three book publications for the publishing house Poradca podnykavec, OZ Mladý podnikavec and Didaktovo s.r.o..
