About event
The publisher Koloman Kertész Bagala regularly invites to the literary discussion of authors and authors, whose work was also published in his publishing house. His next guest will be one of the most famous Slovak poets, Ivan Štrpka. At the April discussion, together with the publisher, they will present a freshly published essay collection called the spasm of the open palm. The work is trying to name a certain stage of freedom, which was more acquired than won. So we experience a kind of cramp of the open palm that was gripped at the time of totalitarianism. Although the hand opened, the company has increased space, but did not develop its natural movements and got a cramp. We were simply not used to freedom. Not even a slave, when it gets very quickly, can not adapt immediately. He had certain certainty and limitations, and the instinct and the concern that would be. Post -communist companies did not go through the catharsis they had, as well as people did not go through the internal transformation. A kind of liberated, loud, self-confusing silence of the individual identity facing the articulation of the individual in common. (excerpt from the book of the spasm of the open palm takes)
