We cordially invite you to a discussion with the writer Miloš Urban and the journalist Renata Kalenska about their latest literary achievements, which will be brought to Big Book Thursday in this year's 25th jubilee season.
The talk is moderated by Ivana Veselková, who will guide you through a discussion full of inspiration and interesting ideas.
🕒 When: October 18 from 5 p.m.
📍 Place: Hybernská Campus< br/>
We look forward to seeing you!
Journalist Renata Kalenská presents 10 open interviews with female and male victims of sexualized violence in her book Frozen Souls. In the interviews, he uncovers stories about the pain and trauma of wounded souls and about finding strength on the way to their healing. The author was inspired by the lecturer of self-defense courses for women, Jasmína Houdek.
Czech writer and translator Miloš Urban in the novel Dr. Alz deals with a personal topic - Alzheimer's disease - in prose. In the story, the main protagonist, former publishing editor Gustav Molitor, learns from doctors about his incipient progressive dementia. He therefore decides to write down everything he can still remember. He himself gradually discovers with surprise how much humor can be hidden in embarrassing and sad memories.
