Reading is great, but not automatically for everyone. And that's exactly what our discussion with Zuzana Herbrychová, Slovak language teacher and mentor of the Regional Teacher Support Center, will be about.
We will talk about why sometimes children don't "get" books the first time, and what choosing the right story that fits a particular child, his interests, pace and reading skills has to do with it. Because the motivation to read often doesn't start with compulsory literature, but with the child finally finding a book they don't want to put down.
An open discussion awaits you about how to create a relationship with books without pressure, how to naturally lead children to reading, and why it's perfectly okay for everyone to start somewhere else. During the discussion, we did not forget the children either. We have prepared our own program for them in the children's section of the bookstore, so they will enjoy the conversation as much as their parents.
