About event
The exhibition of the Liszt Institute presents a selection of award-winning works from the Budapest Illustration Festival (Billufeszt), which was announced for the fourth time in 2025. Billufeszt is a competition and exhibition series representing Hungarian illustration art. Its aim is to regularly provide a space for the best representatives of Hungarian illustration work - both emerging and established artists.
At this year's winter exhibition, organized in the impressive premises of Budapest's Reduta (Vigadó), visitors could see more than 500 posters and also original books. We are now bringing a selection from this extremely rich collection to the Prague audience.
Exhibited works include illustrations for children's books, literary creations and comic publications.
✨During the opening you will have the opportunity to meet six award-winning artists who were offered the opportunity to visit the Czech metropolis by the Liszt Institute in Prague.✨
📘🇨🇿 The exhibition also connects with the Czech literary scene: it won a special prize for the best illustration for fiction Luca Kuti for his artistic conception of the Hungarian translation of the novel Silent Years by Alena Mornštajnová. The book will be published by the Csirimojó publishing house, translated by Zsuzsanna J. Hahn, and will be accompanied by illustrations that you can see in the lobby of our institute.
The exhibition will be opened by:
💬 Hajnal Kassai, director of the Liszt Institute in Prague,
💬 János Vámos, painter,
💬 Emese Révész and László Herbszt, founders of Billufest
📅 viewing until August 31.
