About event
CONCRETE RELIEFS OF MILOSLAV BUŘIVALA DEMOLISHING THE HOUSE FOR JULIA
Based on the initiative of architecture historian Šárka Svobodová, the concrete reliefs of the sculptor Miloslav Buřivala from 1984 were saved during the ongoing demolition of the Brutalist department store (former PRIOR) in Brno. About 70 pieces were made available to the public for a symbolic price and now it will be possible to get the last 50 pieces of reliefs and donate them to the children's hospice House for Julia.
The price of one piece is now increased to 5,000 CZK with the aim of donating the entire proceeds to help families with terminally ill children. Take home a unique piece of art and help run the House for Julia.
Panels can only be purchased on site in cash on Friday 13/12/2024 at 9 a.m. at the supply yard of the former department store, Dornych 4, Brno.
Please stand in line on the spot (please line up in the prepared corridor) and after payment you can load the relief and take it away. Dimensions are approximately 0.5 x 1.5 m, weight 60 kg and more. We recommend wearing work gloves for handling the relief.
