About event
BETTEROV
Entrance: 7:00 p.m. | Start: 8:00 p.m.
_______
In 2022, Betterov released a universally applauded top 5 album with “OLYMPIA”. The expansion “OLYMPIA (Ehrenrunde Deluxe)”, which was added in October 2023, including new pieces and guest contributions by Paula Hartmann, Blumengarten and Provinz, have made Bette-rov known beyond the German indie pop scene. In 2022 he won the Pop Culture Prize, played at Late Night Berlin, Inas Nacht and Studio Schmitt and crowned the jam-packed festival summer with a sold-out headline tour. Afterwards, it became quiet in the public space for a while, while in his room the decision grew to put his own growing up more aggressively than ever at the center of a new major musical project.
At the end of this journey there is now a new, second album, “Große Kunst”, which will be released on November 7th, 2025 and feels significantly more concentrated than its predecessor. With “Great Art” Betterov has created a masterpiece; and a seven-mile step from the safety of the cocoon. Betterov: This is still an unmistakable indie variety that, despite its harshness, seems to glitter solemnly, contrasts cool dark wave elements with large, ceremonial melodic arcs and impresses with its sadly beautiful dynamics.
