About event
The dance piece Without the wind, not even a ticket moves is based on the Slovak proverb of the same name, which points to the fact that no event or human action occurs without a cause. Just as the wind moves the leaves, the life of an individual and society is shaped by visible and invisible forces – emotions, traditions, social norms, expectations or internal impulses.
The project explores these "winds" as a metaphor for the influences that influence our decisions and behavior, often without our being fully aware of them. The dance work focuses on the process of searching for causes, on understanding the wider context and on the question of where the line is between external pressure and internal conviction. An important aspect of the project is also the reflection of traditions and their place in the contemporary world - as something that can be a source of identity, but also of conflict.
