About event

When the three unlikely brothers Hans Torge, Ole and Frederick meet for the festival of love, the Advent season becomes a fast-paced sleigh ride through the Christmas songs.

The Hamburg boys present themselves as a classic boys' choir and a recorder trio, astonishing with a lively tap interlude to Bing Crosby's "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and celebrate the Christmas feast as a virtuoso performance on plates and pots.

Contemplative house music can be heard everywhere: Hans Torge sings and plays his way into the hearts of all mothers-in-law with his festive, jubilant trumpet. The sensitive Ole ponders on his jazz guitar about the erotic charisma of Santa Claus and the otherwise stoic drummer Frederick protests against the annual shopping terror with socially critical expressive dance. The boys also have some practical tips for the holidays, such as the ultimate gift guide and a fitness rock'n'roll to work off those annoying Christmas pounds.

The program is rounded off by numerous illustrious guests: Udo Lindenberg, Heino and the Rolling Stones give an insight into the biggest hits from their Christmas shows, the chamber singer Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau interprets Loriot's Advent poems and George Michael intones with his Santa Claus choir “Last Christmas”.

Christmas with Bidla Buh – what a gift!
