Traditional fruit growing is the cultural and natural wealth of the White Carpathians, which has shaped the landscape for centuries, thanks to the hardworking hands of the inhabitants of this picturesque region. The result is a cultural landscape rich in old orchards, orchards, fruit orchards and massive stand-alone fruit trees in fields and meadows. Many hide fruit treasures, more precisely old, forgotten varieties of apple or pear trees, rare undescribed specimens, often of local origin. Most of the high-stemmed fruit trees have fallen victim to soil compaction or insensitive cutting in recent decades. Only a fraction of the original fruit plantations, forming the skeleton and soul of the White Carpathian mountains, remained in the free land.
