Biennale In the Matter of Art 2026 takes place under the auspices of the first lady of the Czech Republic Eva Pavlova and the mayor of Prague 7 district Jan Čižínský.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Olga Kotková (director of the Collection of Old Masters and interim general director of the National Gallery Prague), Tereza Stejskalová (director of tranzit.cz), the curators of the Biennale (Jaroslava Tomanová, Jakub Gawkowski, and František Fekete), and Monika Čejková (a curator at the National Gallery Prague).

The three-month exhibition and program of events will take place from June 12 to September 13, 2026, at the National Gallery Prague – Trade Fair Palace, GAMPA – City Gallery Pardubice, and the Tusculum Prague arts center. The project is co-curated by Jaroslava Tomanová, Jakub Gawkowski, and František Fekete.

The Biennale Matter of Art 2026 is held under the patronage of Eva Pavlová, First Lady of the Czech Republic, and Jan Čižinský, Mayor of Prague 7.
