How can blind, visually impaired and sighted people get into conversation through works of art? The event "Images in the head As part of the exhibition "Politics of Being Heard", the team of the Bärenzwinger invites people with and without visual impairment to exchange ideas about selected exhibits. The selected works of art are not announced in advance. Let yourself be surprised! In addition to the description, interesting background information is also conveyed to the works.
Katrina Blach (see) and Sebastian Schulze (blind).

The exhibition "Politics of BEING HEARD" asks what it means to be heard - in everyday life, in institutions and in artistic contexts. The focus is on dealing with barriers that make it difficult or prevent access: physical, structural and social. The bear kennel, a listed place with limited accessibility, becomes part of the argument itself. The exhibition sees itself as an open process: it makes structural exclusions visible and asks how spaces must be designed so that more people feel heard - not as an exception, but as a natural part of cultural public. The artistic contributions show that exclusions are deeply anchored in social structures - and open up new perspectives on visibility, responsibility and care. In cross -media installations, videos, photographs, textile work and sculptures, make you experience how complex accessibility is - and ask the question of the conditions under which participation in art and society is possible. #Bärenzwingerberlin #kunstausstiel #Zeitgenössischekunst #BerlinArtscene #barrier -Freiheit #Accessibilitymatters #disabilityawaress #careculture #Chaben #Accessibilityinart #katrinbittl #Sohyelee #anikalednárová #Contemporaryart #Criticalart #artandaccessibility #careandResponsibility #nothingaboutushoutus
