About event
BIRDS ON A WIRE
Entrance: 7:30 p.m. | Start: 8:30 p.m.
_______
When the French-American singer Rosemary Standley - who previously played with Moriarty - and the French-Brazilian cellist Dom La Nena met for the first time, the musical collaboration was originally planned exclusively for a concert series at the Cité de la Musique in Paris.
But the two artists not only got along brilliantly right from the start due to their common roots and their respective classical training - Standley's all-encompassing voice and La Nena's breathtaking cello playing also harmonized in a very special way from the first second. Together, the duo began to reinterpret song classics beyond the initial series of events. Inspired by Leonard Cohen's "Birds On The Wire", the two started releasing cover versions as "Birds on a Wire" - and were immediately well received.
