About event
Blaufuchs
Completely freed from scene conventions and having grown (together) through various setbacks, BLAUFUCHS present their second album “Until now everything went well”. While the musical foundation absorbs the influences of North American pop punk and develops it into its own sound, the clear attitude and deep personal moments in the lyrics stand out. The result is a punk/rock album that doesn't sound like the 20s and the youth movement, but rather like new perspectives, like the human and political aspects of the late 30s. Since the BLAUFUCHS debut album was released around 4 years ago, a lot has changed and little has improved in the world. This sad downward spiral can be found - sometimes drastically and directly, sometimes subtly accentuated - in all the texts of "So far everything went well", which, despite hints of resignation, always conveys a spark of hope for improvement. Blaufuchs don't just look at social change - they are also exposed to constant change themselves. Their second album is to some extent a new beginning with some new line-ups over the last few months. Hale Winter took over the bass from Marisa, Jan Schlagowski took over the drums from Alex Veth and another guitarist, Jan Jurat, joined the band. The new influences don't change the Blaufuchs sound significantly, the drums become a little harder, the guitars a little more delicate, but the signature of main songwriter John Hofmeister still combines the overall American sound with the German lyrics by Johannes König
