Blázinec

The play Madman by Jaroslav Gillar is a thrilling grotesque about a world in which madmen from a psychiatric institution take over the government. The theme of a madman taking over society is still current. Unexpected twists and conflicts are accompanied by crazy situations like from a silent movie. The outputs often resemble the dramatics of the theater of the absurd. The play is inspired, among other things, by the motifs of E. A. Poe, suggestive scenes of fear and horror are interwoven with typical Poe humor and thus create a great stage experience for the audience.
