The rich and successful publisher Pierre Brochant is considered an intelligent man. Together with his friends, however, regularly indulge in a really special kind of entertainment. And that is the organization of the stupid dinner. Everyone has the task of getting the greatest stupid and tightening the whole evening. The larger the stupid, the better - the more fun it will be. He comes in his way with the accountant Francois Pignon, who literally looks at the uncrowned king of all the morons. Pignon is unbearably annoying and incredibly stupid. But what the devil didn't want. On the day of dinner, Pierre is injured by his back and there is no other choice but to revoke the whole dinner. But Mr. Pignon is already on his way.
One evening, one Paris apartment and one jerk for dinner. It is absolutely certain that Pierre will not forget this night until death. Because who is digging another pit, he falls into it himself. And who laughs for the last time, he laughs best. The original theater play became so successful that it was also decided by the author.
