About event

Ruben Bertrands began to perform with harmonica and singing in the streets of Brussels when he was 21 years old. A decade later, he played with his Honky Tonk and Blues music around the world: from the beaches of Spain to the French neighborhood in New Orleans.
His musical career started with the oldest independent radio station in Belgium (Radio Scorpio), where I presented a frequently poured weekly show '. In the following years he founded a non-profit organization under the name 'Leuven Live' and organized more than 200 concerts and jam sessions. In 2019 he set off and lived in Morocco and Italy, and eventually settled on Gran Canaria where he released two albums during the Corona Pandemie: After Hours and 'Blues Messenger'.
In 2022, Ruben Bertrands was selected via Reverbnation for the Richmond International Film Festival and he won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Music. He also reached the final of Unsigned Only with his original song 'White Man Boogie'.

Saskia Guyonne
It was clear what Saskia wanted: sing! Performance for the public! As a young girl, she invited all the neighbors to come and see her performance. As a teenager she participated in the local talent show and started singing in bands. From the age of 18 she traveled through Europe and earned her money as a street singer. Back in the Netherlands she sang solo and with band and/or DJ at weddings and parties. Now she has been living in Amsterdam for years and, since almost 20 years, she enjoys her performances every week as a singer and presenter of De Karaoke at the Bulldog on Leidseplein. There she is also host on stage with King's Day every year. (see photo) Her repertoire can be called very diverse; Dance Classics, Mellow Rock, occasionally a ballad in between and now also the blues that emotionally fits more and more with her.

Jos Muller (born 1967, Alkmaar) started his musical career at a young age. With a borrowed electric guitar and a converted tube radio as an amplifier, he went to work in the attic room. His musical interest is increasingly shifting towards blues music and he then played in the band: "Bluescombustion." The band develops steadily and various performances are reviewed. Blues festivals, apple pop and various stages in North Holland are stormed. He also played in the "La-Bluesband" and in the "Bootleg Blues Company." The "Ashgrove Bluesband" from Alkmaar has been his current musical family for several years now. With this band, Jos played a benefit concert in Valencia (October 2024) that was held for the benefit of the victims of the flood disaster there. Also with Ruben Bertrands (The Bluesmessenger), Jos has performed several times

Gust de Wit has been playing tests in various bands for more than 40 years, including Alice in the Netherlands, Paolo Passionato, The Bootleg Blues Company and Talk to the Cat. The last 10 years he has been playing with his own band Gustagroove, a 9 man jazzy, soul band, with which he has already performed several times in the Pianola Museum. Ruben Bertrands and Gust got to know each other on a blues jam session in Brussels and Gust last year, as his accompanist on the piano, performed with him in Brielle.
