Aftershow w. DJ Basurilla
The name BLUT + EISEN was intended to counter the inadequately denazified society with the ugly face of fascism. The name is intended as a provocation, but the lyrics, in contrast, reveal their anti-fascist and anti-militarist attitude as a criticism of the anti-social civilization in which we live. Formed in May 1982, Blut & Eisen saw themselves as a German-speaking punk band with their own uncompromising style. They gave an expression to the whole mess the school and parents had left with them. The lyrics are full of strange things that happen every day in this strange world. They are exact descriptions of the conditions in which people are born and die - and which tend to encourage the latter. Social criticism - but always with the right amount of sarcasm and self-irony.
Blut & Eisen's high-speed punk is repeatedly broken by tempo stops and
abrupt breaks, overly melodic passages are systematically dismantled and brushed against the grain of comfortable consumption. A music that challenged the musicians and through which they found their unmistakable style.
Blut & Eisen played several times across the Federal Republic and neighboring countries, including a Spanish tour with the Hamburg band "Torpedo Moscow" in February 1985.
After 2 supposedly last gigs in Hanover and Berlin in 1987, live recordings in the Cafe Glocksee in 1994 and various appearances in 2002, In 2008 and 2022 - 2024 Blut und Eisen are back on the road with a new singer.
