Bolero

Bolero – legendary music of Georges Bizet, Maurice Ravel and Petr Hapka in dance art.

The program connects four choreographies of contemporary dance theater. The common theme of the entire evening is man - his character, inner world, relationships with other people and the world around him. The musical background of the two choreographies commemorates the important anniversaries of world composers Georges Bizet and Maurice Ravel.

The evening also includes the choreography I recognize music by Petr Hapka, with text by Michal Horáček, supplemented by verses by Jaroslav Seifert, František Hrubín and Vladimír Holan, performed by the actor Vladimír Javorský – a unique combination of dance, music and poetry.
