Musica Florea Bohemia 2025
A cycle of authenticly interpreted music
G. B. Bononcini and A. M. Bononcini: Camilla The times when the Apennine Peninsula grew the Roman Empire. The main heroine of the opera is an intrepid Camilla, who leads his people in the fight against King Latius, who wants to undergo her country. But coincidence, however, wants his son to fall in love with her, and the king's daughter also chooses his power rival for the groom. Opera does not spare disguises and other popular staging practices of that time, but it is interesting that there are no supernatural or allegorical characters. Heroes are held here by people who have to rely on their strength, cleverness, but also noble qualities such as love and compassion.
The Italian version of the Opera premiered in 1696, Musica Florea will introduce the second version of the English libretto, which was greatly successful in London in 1706. It has become one of the most popular productions of its time. (Camilla), Vojtěch Pelka (Prenesto), Eliška Minářová (Lavinia), Martin Javorský (Turnus), Michaela Šrůmová (Tullia), David Nykl (Linco), Štěpán Pokorný (Latinus)
