About event

Join Pantheon Arts PDX as we host a new book club group that we are eager to begin in January of 2026!

We'll read one book a month with stories written by or inclusive of the Queer and BIPOC perspective through each month, then meet on the first Sunday and discuss our thoughts of the book in a safe, identity-affirming space.

Our meetings are hosted by Kat, our co-founder, who identifies as genderfluid and has a personal stake in the safety of the space as a result. Kat has curated a list with aid from fellows Rachel and Moss, a psychotherapist and English Master's program member at PSU, respectively. We also draw from your suggestions, local bookstore Rose City Reads, and more!

All of these perspectives help to offer a great selection to vote from and expand each of our horizons with. So, gather around, and let’s discuss each tale, each month, over a meal at Pan Y Pueblo, the "bread village"!

Please bring funds for your own food from one of the many Queer and BIPOC food carts, and be sure to sign up on our Google Form, so we can keep in touch with updates.
