Tamara Drahina, 29 years old from Ukraine, has been studying and working in different countries since she left her homeland 8 years ago. Her new book tells the story of this journey.
Events in the book are taking place in Slovakia, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Switzerland, and more.
The book offers very honest reflections on everything that happened along the way — from failing and succeeding in running her own business, to seeing different countries through the lens of being Ukrainian, and to the people who taught her valuable lessons in each place.
It’s a bright, easy-to-read, and refreshing perspective on places we may have heard of, visited, lived in, or never seen at all. In the end, there is not much change in how people live — and at the same time, the differences are so striking that you can’t unsee them.
