Book Talk: The Margins of Journalism

Our associate professor Lenka Waschková was recently published by the Margins of Journalism. To celebrate this event properly, you can look forward to its official performance and discussion with the author. It will take place on 6 May at 4 pm in the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Studies on the third floor.

Lenka Waschková Emperor is one of the most prominent and most popular observers of the transformation of Czech journalism and journalistic professions, and a large part of her research focuses on regional and local journalists and media. Her book The Margins of Journalism (Peter Lang 2025) summarizes her observations on peripheral journalists and media organizations in the context of a rapidly changing journalistic field and presents a comprehensive study of local journalism in post -socialist and post -tranformation Czech media system. It offers a wider lesson for the future of journalism and exceeds Western -center optics.

We are looking forward to it and we cordially invite you to participate!
