Bösendorfer Zyklus. Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Klavier

Jazz evening. Opening concert

“We have reached a point in the development not only of music, but also in our society, where people have fewer problems with mixing. We are alive Now in a time when you are open to new things and look beyond your own horizons and learn. On the contrary, it gives you gifts!” (Gonzalo Rubalcaba)

As a wanderer between musical worlds, from modern jazz to classical stylistic elements and Cuban forms, the pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba promises musical fireworks! In 1999, Gonzalo Rubalcaba was named one of the greatest pianists alongside Martha Argerich, Glenn Glould and Bill Evans by the American music magazine Piano & Keyboard, and is still considered one of the greatest masters of his music Fachs. His recordings with jazz legends such as Jack De Jonnette, Charlie Haden and Ron Carter alone received 16 Grammy nominations (of which he won 4).

Gonzalo Rubalcaba dedicates the evening to the jazz legend Oscar Peterson, like Rubalcaba a close friend of the Bösendorfer family, who would have been 100 years old this year.
