About event

We invite you to the 13th year of the ❤️ BRaK festival ✨

The theme of the upcoming year is a sentence that usually does not bode well:

🗣️"We need to talk..." 💬

🎟️ You can buy tickets here 👉 https://goout.net/cs/brak-2026/szeugiy/

The theme is an appeal for dialogue and conversation about books and the questions they open - be they easier or harder. 🤗 About us and our relationships, about the reality that cannot be broken away from, and about the challenges we face together 🤝

🩵 BRaK 2026 will bring discussions, author readings, performances, concerts, shows and exhibitions 🎭🎶🖼️ across all festival locations.

The festival will also include thematic zones and special formats - for example a sales exhibition publishing houses on Hlavní námestí 📖, a children's zone on the Town Hall courtyard 🧸, a comics zone on Františkánská námestí and in the premises of Biela 6 💥 or a conference of book professionals and libraries, focused on current topics of the book sector. 📚

The confirmed guests include the rising star of Icelandic literature ✍️ María Elísabet Bragadóttir, the best-selling Czech author ✍️ Jakub Stanjura, ✍️ Michal Habaj, who returns to the poetry scene after ten years, a prominent personality of contemporary French prose ✍️ Constance Debré and the Brazilian author ✍️ Jeferson Tenório with the book Under the Skin.

🔜 We can also look forward to on Adania Shibli (Palestine), Denis Bang (Fvck_Kvlt), Jessica Lind (Austria), Barbora Hrínová, Kateřina Šedá and her project National collection of vices, comic authors Michal Ivan, Dávid Marcin and many others. 🔥
