Time gates are a festival of living history of old Slavs. During one extraordinary day, a historic camp in which you can see, try and taste the life of our ancestors will come to life. Play on the warriors, test your craftsmanship and get to know how we lived in the early Middle Ages. You can look forward to demonstrations of fighting, falconry performance, fashion show of period clothing or demonstrations of traditional crafts and life ceremonies. For children we have prepared playful activities, including training partners, while adults can measure their strength in the historical skills competition. If you would like to know even more about the life of our ancestors, eye -catching lectures are waiting for you. You will learn more about archeology, jewelry and mystical world of Slavic myths and legends. In addition to the main program, a historic Slavic camp is also open to you throughout the day. You can also see here and try period crafts, bow shooting, or cook a period meal. The festival offers a living and playful opportunity to get to know the roots of our culture. A program awaits you during which history is not behind the glass, but comes to life right in front of you. Enter with us in history on July 19 at the Museum of the Slovak Village in Martin.
