Viera Kamenická's lecture in the series "Lectures in the Hall under the vaults"
The regular series of lectures in the Hall under the vaults continues in November. Since the October date fell on the holiday period, the lecture will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
The theme of the November meeting will be Bratislava, as the world knows it: The story of Chatam Sofer.
The lecture will be given by Viera Kamenická - a photographer and columnist who worked for many years at the Museum of Jewish Culture in Bratislava.
Veira Kamenická will explain the life and legacy of Chatam Sofer (1762 – 1839), one of the most important personalities of Judaism. At the same time, he will present the unique underground Jewish cemetery in Bratislava, where pilgrims from all over the world still come to pay their respects to his memory.
The lecture will take place in the Hall under the vaults, Uršulínska 9, Bratislava.
